My name is Hamish. I am a Psychologist. I mostly work with adults and teenagers 17 years and older, who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or intellectual impairment.
Welcome to my website. If you are thinking about whether I might be the type of person you want to work with, then I hope this website will help you decide.
I commenced full time private practice in January 2019. Prior to that I worked with the Queensland Government’s Disability Services for 18 years, including working privately one day per week during 2018.
My career has been based on providing positive behaviour support services to people with high and complex support needs. I have a wealth of experience and connections within the sector to offer potential clients.

ABOUT ME: This page contains a brief summary of my history as a Psychologist and Behaviour Support Clinician. On this page I also describe the main influences on my practice framework. This should give you a sense of type of person I am, the experiences and skill-set that I may be able to apply to your situation. This page also summarises the commitments I make to my clients as a Psychologist and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) registered service provider.
NDIS & OTHER SERVICES: On this page I provide more information about the types of services that I offer. The focus of my private practice is working with NDIS participants and their support networks who have funding for Behaviour Support and/or Therapeutic Supports. I also provide supervision to Psychologists and Behaviour Support Practitioners who share this focus in their own practice.
RESOURCES AND LINKS: On this page you can find links to references and resources that I commonly use in my clinical practice. Resources on this page, particularly those I have personally developed, are likely to be of most interest to my current clients, but are freely available for public use.
CONTACT ME: This page has a web enquiry form if you value the convenience of such a tool. Given the intensive nature of positive behaviour support, enquiries regarding possible services will almost always require more detailed email or phone conversations. I endeavour to respond to all enquiries. You can also talk to me via my mobile 0418 752 729 or email me at hamish@hamishmillard.com.au.
I am registered with Translating and Interpreting Services (TIS) National. If you would benefit from interpreter services I can help arrange this.
BLOG: This is where I will post news regarding my practice, and the occasional thought bubble.
My socials pages (Facebook and Linkedin) are linked via the icons at the bottom of each page on this site.
